Tell us about a subject you enjoy studying

For today I'm going to talk about organic chemistry. It's a subject studied a lot in my major: biochemistry. Organic chemistry is field of chemistry focused in the structure, properties, synthesis and reactivity of chemical compounds mainly formed of carbon and hydrogen but there may also be others such as sulfur, oxygen, among others.

            

I enjoy learning this subject because you can understand many things, such as: why does this compound react with that compound, why do the electrons move in that way between bonds, etc. In the beginning I thought It was just naming compounds according to an already released table with rules but now I can understand the huge meaning of organic chemistry and what its name has to do with it. It also allows you to learn how to draw structures correctly, and it is really fun to do so.
