An expert/person in your field that you admire.
Hello bloggers!
Today I'm going to talk about a person in Biochemistry that I admire.

His name is Osvaldo Cori Moully. He was born on August 11, 1921. He was a medical surgeon graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile who by the long way became a scientist specialized in biochemistry. In 1957 founded the first career in Biochemistry in the country and Latin America along with Luis Cerutti and César Leighton, where researchers would be trained. He studied, worked and leaned from Fritz Lipmann and Severo Ochoa, two Nobel Prize winners; with the purpose of returning to Chile and to start the career of Biochemistry.

I admire this scientist because he stated that science should occupy a significant place in development, and that its role was even more important in latin american countries. Osvaldo Cori defended the value of scientific research as a public good.
I hope you enjoyed it!
